Israel!
I am so excited to share with you that on November 26 we will be traveling to Israel. Rick and I, along with another TV host and good friend, Kathryn Raaker, will be flying to Israel to do a series of TV productions and documentaries.
The main focus of my trip will be to interview a well-known doctor in the field of stem cell research, Dr. Shimon Slavin. Dr. Slavin has successfully used donor cell-immunotherapy in the treatment of different types of cancer and tumors as early as 1987. The treatments have been successful in preventing relapses of the cancer. Since then, this ground-breaking therapy has lead to numerous other therapies based on the same type of treatment using the patients own cells! We hope to interview some of his patients, as well as the doctor, on this trip and upon our return we will be producing a documentary on Stem Cell Therapy.
Another stop will be at the Botanical Gardens in Abu Ghosh which are run by the Monks. We will be meeting and interviewing Bro. Olivier, the chief Monk in charge of the gardens. We will be looking at some of the incredible plants which come from all over the world and producing a documentary on Organic Gardening.
Of course along the way we will be visiting the incredible sights of the Holy Land! It is a thrill indeed to know that we will be walking the streets where Christ lived and preached; we will see the Sea of Galilee and Mount of Beatitudes where He preached the Sermon on the Mount. We will see the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, visit the open air markets, swim in the Dead Sea, and much more!
